Now in the previous post, I talked about the advantages and disadvantages, good and bad, pros and cons, of using each site.
On signing into Scour today, I see that they are intending on "Upgrading their Rewards System". On reading the article, I had to comment! I am in total disagreement with what they are doing and if they continue with this change, I might have to pull out from being a member of that site.Basically (if you're too lazy to read the article yourself), they are changing the system in that you are no longer going to be awarded points when you search, comment or rate, that you can exchange for Visa gift cards. Instead, you will be awarded entries into a daily drawing for $25 cash. In other words, like someone commented, they're making it into a "sweepstakes" site, or a "search and win" site, instead of a get paid to search site. Because the truth is, you are now no longer sure that you WILL get paid to search. You just have to hope you win.
Now this way, they are actually probably giving out more money. $25 per day means ($25 x 30) = $750 per month. You have unlimited chances to win, which is great. Here's my problem with the system. It's all based on luck now, and I don't know about you guys, but I don't have much of it.
Where as before you could EARN your money, now you have to leave it all up to chance.
There are a lot of members that are actually complaining about this new change that's supposed to happen so I hope that the admins on Scour listen to their members and DO NOT implement this change. If they do, I believe it will just be for the worst.
I will be sticking around to see what the final decision is and I'll be sure to update you guys if I hear anything new.
In the mean time, I'll be spending a lot more time at Swagbucks where they DON'T take my bucks and convert them to sweepstakes entries ;)

I actually find it funny all the people leaving because of the change to the sweepstakes. I was searching Scour because I liked the results. I mean come on, you're only missing out on a third of a brown coin per point. $25 to go towards your carpel tunnel treatment, whoo! LOL. But if you want to join another paid to search site where you get points every search, comment, vote... it's pretty much a scour clone except with much, MUCH better payout rates. Thank you so much for the information. I'll keep checking your blog daily. I'm surely going to pull out my work there because it would be a waste time if its based on luck.
